Celebrations in Kristinestad
Christmas
Christmas in Kristinestad is magical and atmospheric. Streets and alleys come alive with the magic of Christmas as shops, homes, and small boutiques dress up for the season. And of course, Santa Claus also finds time to visit town!
Follow the Living Advent Calendar route and admire the beautifully decorated windows that open daily, spreading warmth and Christmas joy throughout the historic wooden quarters.
Easter
A fun tradition takes place on Easter Saturday in Rådhusparken, where little Easter witches gather before heading to Blåkulla. The program includes playful activities, a parade through the park, and prizes for Easter eggs and witches — all with a twinkle in the eye.
Sea Day
On June 28, Strandpromenaden comes alive with boats, music, flavors, and activities for all ages. Meet fishermen and divers, explore private boats, a fire brigade vessel, and a new charter boat. Try your luck at fishing or test navigation with small boats. A sauna experience and a refreshing dip in the town bay crown the day.

Old-Time Day
Traditionally held on the first Saturday of September, Old-Time Day fills Kristinestad’s wooden quarters with experiences for all ages.
